Gary was born and raised in Jackson County and has lived here his entire life. He is a retired police detective and an expert in violent crime investigations. Gary was featured on the Oxygen network television show Snapped, for his work in a murder investigation. Gary earned his B.A. from Baker College in Jackson where he graduated magna cum laude. He later attended Western Michigan University Cooley Law School where he received the Raymond Burr Criminal Law Award, the Eugene Krasicky Award for outstanding editor on Law Review, and the Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievement in Wrongful Convictions. After graduating Cum Laude, Gary joined the law firm. Gary continues to live in Jackson with his wife and four children.
Gary is a member of the American Bar Association and the Michigan Bar Association. He serves on the Hanover-Horton School Board and Hanover Village Council. In addition, Gary has coached youth softball, baseball, football, basketball and soccer in the Hanover Horton Community.
